Braden was two weeks old yesterday. I can't believe how fast time has gone. I wish we could go back to April 7th and do it all over again. We've been having so much fun and enjoying Braden very much. Ben and I just look at him all the time and laugh about every funny face he makes. He really is a joy and we couldn't be more crazy about him! We went to the doctor yesterday to weigh Braden and make sure he was back to his birth weight, which was 7lbs, 9oz. He weighed in at a whopping 8lbs, 6oz! I could not believe it! I knew he was eating well, but not that well! Here are a couple new pictures of our little heffer!

Visitors and Trip to the Mall

Braden has had a very eventful week. On Monday we went to the airport to pick up his Aunt Becky (aka Sisis). This was their first meeting and they grew fond of each other quickly. It was so fun having my sister in town. She was able to wrestle Braden away from Ben every now and then and get some one on one time. We especially liked handing him off to her early in the morning while we got a little more sleep! :) On Tuesday Braden had the pleasure of taking his first trip to the mall and Chickfila! On Wednesday my parents came up to see Braden and Sisis. It was fun to all be together for a short time. We were sad to have to take her to the airport this morning. Thanks for flying down to see us, Aunt Becky!

Bath Time

Ben gave Braden his first "at home" bath this morning before we went to the doctor. I can't say he "enjoyed" it, but I'm sure he was glad to be all clean!

First Few Days of Firsts

Braden has experienced many firsts over the past couple of days:

1st car ride
1st night at home

1st stroll around the neighborhood

1st long distance pee squirt

1st bath at home

1st doctor's appointment

Elizabeth and I had no idea how much joy this little boy would bring us. We really are experiencing the kindness of God. The verse at the top of our blog reads "The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." - Psalm 126:3. Well, He has and we are! Enjoy the pics.
